While CNCP may not appear to care...,

    Western Canadian farmers can bring to bare;

The Court of Public Opinion to impair,

CNCP plans to take what is unfair.

    Freinds are worth fighting for,

You are mine what is more,

Than to step to the fore,

For truth, justice, freedom to implore.

Western Canadian neighbours you are mine,

Fighting for what is right takes a spine,

Freinds with pleasure I take the time,

To draw the line at this CNCP railway design.

So now you can realize the cp boars is on side with harrisons philosophy.

And that group has dinner with mps regularly to see who else is willing to join them in manipulating the economy for a conservative win.

You can only run iron so cheap for so long. Then it cost you. If they would have invest money, even a third of what Buffet did, would have paid huge dividends for the next twenty years.

They had the new locomotives - they leased them out. Over 400. And dumped a tonne of people.

Haters gonna hate and monopolies gonna monopolize.

I'm all for free markets as they are the absolute best way for an economy to function properly, but the railroads don't operate in a free market. The monopoly's record profits have been at the expense of the Canadian economy.

We need legislators to legislate some semblance of competition into rail transportation. Maybe then the railroads would concentrate on increasing capacity, rather than charging more for less capacity and launching "chill" lawsuits against farmers.

Hang in there Tom, it's not worth wrecking your health for.

Good Morning Tom, I read a lot more than I write on Agriville. Mostly it is because I don't feel that I am compelled or quialified to correct other peoples misconceptions or lack of understanding of what is happening. Also I am not as articulate as some and don't have the time to do the back up research. I am commenting now, mostly to you, because I have a great deal of respect for your efforts on all fronts. I have read a fair number of your posts and generally agree with your analysis on most points. I have farmed in a what can occasionally be a relatively unforgiving part of the prairies for almost 40 years. The reason for this diatribe is not to introduce myself but rather to implore you in the strongest possible terms not to permanently compromise your health over this issue. My personal opinion is that although you are right, being dead right is a small victory. ( And you are not much good to anyone that way.) I believe that eventually ( I am sure not soon enough to suit any of us ) that we will get the improvements and efficiency that we need. First through attrition then competition. Damaging the agriculture sector always comes back to bite almost everyone associated with it. I wish you the best!

FarmRanger that's the problem with the "free market" - it rarely if ever operates as it should because those in power, who should be establishing and maintaing the regulations. have been corrupted by corporate interests who seek to benefit from stacking the deck in their favour. The current Government in Ottawa is a good example of one not properly regulating the market to protect the interests of all Canadians.

                    A couple of quotes:

"The free Market is a myth. Everybody knows that. Just very few people say it...If I'm not smart enough to know that there's no free market, I ought to be fired...You can'thave farming on a total laissey-faire system because the sellers are too weak and the buyers are too strong"

Dwayne Andreas, former CEO of Archer Daniels Midland Corporation (ADM)

                    And a pre 1900 one:

“As we view the achievements of aggregated capital, we discover the existence of trusts, combinations, and monopolies, while the citizen is struggling far in the rear or is trampled to death beneath an iron heel. Corporations, which should be the carefully restrained creatures of the law and the servants of the people, are fast becoming the people’s masters.”

                    Grover Cleveland 24th US President.

as much as i disagree with your politics
                        Tom.
give it up , do not risk your health
                        over this.
life is not fair , and other folks survive under far greater oppression than us.

letting go after your stabbed in the back by people you trusted.
                        is really tough
but if you keep it up they will win again.
remember big business has no conscience, therefore can feel no guilt.
the only one your hurting now is
                        yourself.

                          Thanks folks
I am taking my multivitamin so am balanced on nutrients .
If we don't stand for justice and freedom caring and working to building better communities... Our next generations will be hurt... After so many our forefathers gave so much to create our freedom.
The least I can do is my part... To stand against those who plan to abuse our rural communities and family farms
                          Thanks again for the support
                          Sincerely
                          Tom

Ok Mr. Jackson, If I were you, I would be thinking about the stress you're bringing into the home and subjecting your family to. I don't think your helping your family in the least by hurting them, are you going to deny this. If you take this to the "end", what will you have accomplished. If your serous about this issue, you may die. If you're not quit the charade. There are other methods to accomplish your goals.

You know Tom, farmaholic is right. I hate to be a blunt ass, but start making funeral plans, your national coverage is not there. I will get twenty bucks a bushel this fall for my canola before you get to your goal. Unless this is just a charade, if you are DEAD serious in your achievement, I really do have great sympathy and sorrow for your family. I guess I should of had Pars write this, it would of been of more finesse. ****ING STOP.
