      Grassy,

I have learned a lesson Here:

New Wildrose Leader Brian Jean's son 'Mikey' died just over a week ago:
“Mikey was a very, very special person. When cleaning his room this week, I found a handwritten note on the table beside his bed,” Jean told party members at the convention in Calgary on Saturday.

“He wrote in his own handwriting, ’What you do for yourself dies with you, but what you do for others remains and is immortal.”’ ...

This kind of motivation can't be bought. It is about Love and Good overcoming injustice... building a better Alberta!

I am proud to be a part of the Wildrose... the quiters are now gone... and we do have a fresh new start!

      God Bless Alberta!

        Danielle goes down in defeat.

I remember when your hero Danielle Smith crossed the floor to join the Con's you said it took "courage". Their saying she was warned not to cross as it was a trap. Danielle was to busy thinking about herself rather than the Wild Rose party. Justice was done and Danielle got what she deserved.

Tom you still think she has courage? I can think of other adjectives to describe her.

          Forage,

Yes I know it took Courage. I do not believe it is healthy for ANYONE to hold a grudge.

The fruits of Danielle's action bare out the wisdom of her decisions.

I also believe the Wildrose Party is in a better position to win more seats .. plus be a much better servant of the Alberta people overall... than 6 months ago. Major Change can be a really good development in the mature political landscape Alberta has developed!

Danielle knew the risks obviously. She wanted change... and reaped what she sowed.

Tom what change are you talking about?
The Con's have been in power for forty years? Your Wild Rose party doesn't stand a chance of winning the election coming up. It's wasn't about courage when Danielle crossed the floor, it was personal gain she was looking for. Her greed got the best of her so why would I hold a grudge.

Tom start putting some meat and potatoes in that broth, your losing it.

The party committed suicide in the eyes of the electorate - there is no way back for WR.
I believe there are some good people involved with the party but a lot that needed to leave haven't.
Party executive is the main problem.
At our last constituency AGM the only people who had been properly nominated for office bearer roles names didn't appear on the ballot papers. The Executive made up their own list of nominees illegally and when the members on the floor of the meeting objected to that the meeting was folded on the orders of the Executive. If it hadn't been so serious it would have been comical, 3rd world banana republic politics.
There can be no future for a party run like this if you believe in democracy.

                Grassy,

The only system more messy than democracy... is a system without democracy!

We get the government we deserve... there are many really good people in Wildrose. Perhaps your CA needs a major change! Are you willing to put your neck on the line and do your part?

It's not the CA that's the problem, it was the Executive and the party. Several other CA's suffered similar experiences. A number of us stepped forward that night and were elected office-bearers or directors - duly elected by the members attending their constituency AGM. The party executive vetoed our appointments too. This was before any of the floor crossing antics. The party is beyond repair I wouldn't waste any more time on it.

No different than the PCs - a top down dictatorship. PC's latest is disallowing their own man Jamie Lall to stand in a nomination battle against a WR floor crosser with no reason given. Democracy is dying a death in Alberta. As they say "absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Danielle Smith, what a nut job. Texting a reporter and telling them to "piss off".

GF your enlightenment capacity is beginning to seriously decay. Maybe let us colonials come to our own conclusions once in a while.

Come to whatever conclusions you want but don't try to take my freedom of speech away.
