    Stine Seed, t

It is a good reminder to those tempted to confine “innovation” solely to the world of Silicon Valley that some of the most impressive and fundamentally important advances on Earth are occurring today in agriculture, and the global epicenter is America’s heartland.

Interesting. But something about a link between genetics ownership and success for all players might be missed on angryville. I forget the golden rule. Freezing time will guarentee everyone a family farm.

This is a great story but scary at the same time. If Stine really could double corn yields look out prices.

I guess what I took away from the article was that when corn hybridized and seed companies were allowed to get paid for their work. Amazing innovation happened.

It's a different time in 2015 and we have plenty of opportunity to see farmer owned companies or private/ publicly traded multi-nationals, get involved in the cereals seed trade.

For those of you with experience in dealing with the universities or CDC they are as much in favour of C-18 as anyone. And remember when they sell something it's seen a lot like general revenue.
Your $20.00 durum seed will likely see a lot go to some city kids "basket weaving course" just like the land sales will go towards keeping tuition rates low for all.

For those of you that think don't do any research into anything that will improve yield, as that will help raise prices.

Guess what our international competitors won't be waiting .They will innovate whether we have production or transportation issues. In fact they will travel the world beating the drum that their farmers are the most innovative, hardworking, unique farmers on the planet.

          Just like everyone else does.
