You mean there was no late payments to farmers? Screw these *** boards and commissions. I bet nabors knows what the real price of canary seed is and therefore offers a bit more which is probably a shitload short of the real price as well. Bet if he offered the real price the commission would be all over him for who knows what.

I agree with the above send the bill to farmers for check offs. If they want to pay it they will if not they win t.

Hahaha so we re talking about a few hundred dlars to the canary commission? Wow

The other issue is that there ought to be a protective service to farmers for lack of payment on all commodities instead of a commission check off put that money towards something like that.

Your subject heading should have been canary seed Leveys not paid. The way it was listed and your comments In the original thread it implies farmers weren t getting paid.

Maybe as part if the commission instead of warning us about stuff we all know maybe spend some of that check off and work towards making canary seed a guaranteed paid commodity.

No, press release stated that we have seen late payments to growers. He has recently stated that there are no issues. Which seems like an expected comment to me. Read between the bloody lines dude.

I am not sure why you dont start trading canary if it is so lucrative. Canaryseed market is so slow right now it is unreal. Mexican peso and EU's euro devaluation has created a situation where old sales are being reneged on and new sales are a snails pace. Almost zero new crop program is in place. Great time for you to cut your teeth

Sounds like someone didn't do their due diligence.

If contracts get reneged on, who ultimately pays?

          The farmer or the processor?

Or does the processor delay delivery until it's profitable for his business?

Bucket, we agree on a lot of points, but export marketing not so much. Many exporters have come and gone, not because it's a cakewalk - much like farming.
