    What is everyone doing?

Today is a nice dang day. Our yard is a soppy mess. Supposed to haul canola tomorrow of course.

Love this time of year, but hate the limitations. I wanna work on stuff, but do not have a very great yard for doing so, and it is so soft right now. Snow cover is back down to probably 60% in the fields, but the snow left, is that deep snow that takes forever to melt.

So I am in the house, trying to decide which feed barley variety to grab, and if I should do keet canary again, or go with bastia. I never saw a big yield out of keet like it says in the book.

So what do you all do when it is sloppy and you can't move? Or do you all have no snow left and have pristine paved yards? And your machinery is all new, so there is nothing to really fix? lol!

Feed cows in the morning. Calving starts April 10 so we check at night just in case some twins come early.

We're putting nav in a tractor today. We upgraded our 9882 to a low hour T9040 we were lucky to find.

T9040 had oil change before storage last fall so that's done.

We're heading south for barley seed Wed. All paperwork including phytos are here now.

Hooking to air drill in a couple of days once yard dries a bit.

Moving cows to spring calving pasture the end of the week.

Planning auction sale visits to buy shit we can't afford and/or don't really need.

Researching hiding places for grand kids' Easter egg hunt on Sunday.

Reducing caloric intake (not going Tommy) to make room for Easter egg one day binge.

Semis going to Yorkton. Should get to just over half March contract in by months end. Cleaner is going while we wait for slotted time to leave.
But the quarter inch rain on weekend and the wet snow last week made the yard a mess. Busy hauling some gravel to make it a little easier.
Frost still in the pit. One spot able to dig
      Mud mud mud.
Oh and swinging a base ball bat. Feds remarks today that all is right with the grain system has kind of pissed me off.

Pioneer would like our March wheat, but RM says no hauling on soft roads so the yard is not my only concern. If it rains/snows Wed-Thurs, road will be off limits. Lots of snow left, plus water showing up, ditches are snow, nothing moving.

Got about 70 bush cords of hardwood logs in the yard to block before spring, then that plus another 20 to split. Logs are stacked up out of the mud and I do all the processing and storage on the pad from my former bunker silo.

Custom cleanin for neighbors and hooked up drill today. Snow 99% gone. No field work for around 14 days yet as fields are muddy. Picking up protill tomorrow so can smash some ridiculous pea straw as soon as fields start drying up. Will treat barley seed tomorrow and keep on rollin. Target start date at this point April 20th

Tell us about that protill. I seen those things - really nice finish left to the field.

                          Did you buy or renting?

                          Rubber rollers or baskets?

33 or 40 foot. If 40 what kind of hp required?

bought a 40'... notched disks in front with smooth in the back. Rubber packers. Have no idea how it works yet but thinking it should accomplish what I need it to. Supposedly 475hp minimum.
