    Friday Crop Report!

It was April 1st yesterday and No sale yet so looks like we have another fun year of farming in Canada. Maybe our bitching is getting some attention because isn't it funny after two years lots in industry are wondering if our production continues will we be back in the same situation again and again and again. I for one am tired of the losses farmers have to take for industry not planning. You can only skim the cream for so long before you get milk which isn't bad but do nothing and you have sour useless shit.
Industry its a wake up call get your shit together because for farmers to keep over producing its nice easy money doing nothing for all involved but sooner or later us pissed off farmers will be done then you have nothing left.
    Friday April 1st crop report.
Taking grain out of last few bags as rail system failed again. But hey its was one heck of a nice week and lots was accomplished. Last weeks wet snow is almost gone thanks to two rains over night. Water running full bore and sloughs filling. No frost out as getting gravel out of the pit you feel like Cam on Yukon Gold.
Farmers are cleaning up every thing as it seems no one has their plan made up exactly yet. Lots hate the Crop insurance guessing game for wet acreage at end of march. Its a game but they make the rules.
No flooding yet just low areas are filling up.
Lots of visits from Dealers looking to move anything.
First Chem rep visit happened and hit a gopher on road home I guess spring has arrived.
Seed sales for Canola is interesting as still lots haven't decided what's their acreage.
Land available for rent is hitting the market every day as it seems some are either not paid up for last year or some just decided their deal last fall was to high and want out or just drop the ball and move on. Talk that some might not get a rented and seeded on one huge parcel. Time will tell.
Kelly might get a air kit if moisture keeps following the pattern it is started again.
Snow this morning in Regina and temp drop. Easter weekend might be spending time with family and friends.
No one in fields except a quad or tractor playing in the water.
Have a safe and fun week.
    Ah farming.

Dry as a furt in Kansas and Oklahoma. Water runs, creeks have no water in them. Dugouts are empty I am told by snowbirds coming home from Texas.

Lots of pics from California, NO snow in the mountains, reservoirs/rivers nearly dry, looks like game over if irrigation is NOT banned.

Much water comes from the Colorado River.

'The Colorado River Aqueduct, or CRA, is a 242 mi (389 km) water conveyance in Southern California in the United States, operated by the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). The aqueduct impounds water from the Colorado River at Lake Havasu on the California-Arizona border west across the Mojave and Colorado deserts to the east side of the Santa Ana Mountains. It is one of the primary sources of drinking water for Southern California.'
