My guess is that they got bought from the money guaranteed from the government.

And since the cwb has the same basis as any other graincos now - they are in the money.

Funny that the previous cwb was supposedly owned by farmers for farmers but it was gifted to who ever owns it now.

Then they told stupid farmers like me that there was still money owing on everything so it wasn't worth shit.

But the new company has all kinds of money to buy and build elevators ships worn out railcars without even a line item in the annual report.

Now there's the key words, " supposedly owned by farmers " The old cwb was a crown corp. and always was a crown corp. You can thank your former cwb directors for lying to you on that. Lets move on and enjoy the 21st century.

It wasn't supposedly owned by farmers when the crown employees made some costly and stupid mistakes or when there was a demurrage bill to pay.

I know what you are saying stonepicker but farmers got the bill then just as they are now.

The crown or the graincos never picked up the tabs for their incompetence - did or have they?

The only winner is when Paul Martin gets to buy those ships for nickels on the dollar.

Or whoever owns the insurance policy on them.

            Bucket,

Please be patient... there is a plan. If Paul Martin is making good money with his ships... no reason CWB ships can't do the same!

Running them a ground on the first trip isn't a money maker.

And Tom what makes you think Martin won't run those 2 ships out of business?

Bucket, because they are well integrated into a well run shipping group with good freight and connections!

                    Have a great Easter Bucket!

                    Just for you, Foil!
