Tweety,
Thanks for your response!
The fun part of my life... and many others that are a part of my life... is our beliefs!
Your answer works for me... to the extent it goes!
If we all end up in oblivion... with to further existence to our beings after we lose that spark of life that makes us human... If this is life and death... I have nothing to lose in your experience?... I simply cease to exist... because my faith and being die with the last breath I take...
A simple thought though...
What if?
The creative will humans have... which are clearly and cleverly portrayed in these Robots... are indeed part of a pattern... a greater designers threads that are woven throughout the Universe...
What if the billions of people... who choose Peace, Love, and Hope... Truly are motivated by more than the spark that dies when our lives end?
What then?
In some cultures... they love their neighbours... in some... they Eat their neighbours!
In Having 'Objective Moral Values'... if we are to think these through to the end...
We can not arrive at Morality... by Rationality!
If I am worthless... then how can my property be valuable?
If I AM valuable... God exists... an entity that is intrinsically valuable! Right and Wrong cannot exist without a creator who made these standards!
This is an odd mixture of outcomes... Just as gravity exists...whether I believe it does or not... matters not!
This is not a matter of science against faith or belief, as there is No Logical outcome to the natural state of Chaos in the Universe!
If we create a ship to travel the oceans... there are 3 questions that need to be answered;
1) How do we stop this ship from sinking;
2) How do we stop this ship from hitting other Ships?
3) Why would we create the ship in the first place... Why is the ship needed to exist in the first place?
There must be a underlying purpose... for there to be life!
Just as There must be a purpose for that interesting robot to exist... or its creators would not have created that wonderful machine in the first place!
Thanks for your response!
