    Up for grabs.... I put an ad on kijiji this winter.... been turning acres away...


    Guys canceling or not renewing. ... lots of pissed off landlords

          yep, here in the south east its the same with land up for rent going a long time before being picked up. I have my ear to the ground as far as prices and things haven't really dropped much yet. Mostly all less than $45 here and some still at $25. The $50-$60 stuff is gonna disappear here I think.

            Wow wish I could rent for 45. Still at 75-100 in my area. I guess they are better and smarter than me.

                Only land up for rent in our area is unfarmable garbage. Good land will always gets rented. The new thing in our area is custom farming. Most of the landbarrons now want in on the action.

                  One investment banker now hires a lady to manage farm and has it all custom worked! Bonus to guy if crop is above average! With floods and hail first guy gone as no bonus!

                      There is a guy in our area doing it for $80.00 per acre but I would hire him to farm my land.

                          The whole show right from seeding to the bin. Landlord covers all the inputs except fuel.

                            Swathing = $8
                            Spraying x2 = $12
                            Trucking = $10
                            Misc. = $10


                            Total = $80

                              There is no way in hell I would do it for 80.
                              What a difference in areas. 55 bushel land going for $110 here. An ad has never gotten land either. Time for me to quit and work for the big boys.
