Like using subsoiler openers like the old Gens or the old Stealth. lol. In dry years those things were dynamite.

We used to use some Dutch low draft and paid attention to ground speed and air velocity as to not create too much mixing at the opener. It was too hot for the canola.

Floaters are re-appearing, but I wouldn't want to do it if I didn't have to.

As I said the jury is still out, only two years in, just like the open market... time will tell. But I expect to realize extra millions because of both changes...

The reason why P with seed is becoming such an issue is the trend to these narrow knives...

If you live in a good moisture area worst thing you can do is put all your seed on 12" spacing and in a 3/4" strip that far apart...

Look at peas... spread them a tad bit and you get way better pod set... less interplant competition.

...10 inch spacing with a Dutch two inch spread(I wouldn't say it spreads it two inches though but better than everything in a concentrated 3/4 inch row...)

Best fertilizing method advise from me would be doggy style. Grag her pull push and go deep fast. Can extend by slowing.
