The promised rain didnt show here. Disappeared from forecast as well. Available moisture for seeding but its starting to feel dry. Grass an trees suffer.
A little harrowing and discing going this week. Assume youll see peas start next week. BTOs a few miles away reportedly going all week.
Even if I was ready which I'm not, Id wait till Monday. A lot of bs going on here, not sure when I can go.

Ryegrass seeded last week. Seeding malt type barley now. One day or day and a half left in barley. -6 this morning and the ground is stiff so seeding doesn't start as early in the morning as we'd like.
Hog manure is on ground intended for wheat.
Pastures are slow. Over grazers already have their cows out.
Hay is starting but slow. Surprising that the alfalfa hasn't froze back.
Good luck seeding. Everyone stay safe.

Seeding on a roll in S AB. Some area like Foremost almost done. Most other places east of Lethbridge around half done. No sugar beet contract yet so grains and even corn planting has started. Potatoes are almost all planted. Conditions were excellent but surface starting to get too dry for small shallow seeded crops like canola.
