I agree mustardman. We need agreements between provinces on a lot of issues. Maybe we could spend some time on Canada/Canada trade agreements.

No matter who wins: time to renegotiate the equalization formula. Cannot speak for Alberta but it is imperative that
Saskatchewan spend some major coin on roads.

Something the NDP has to learn; government jobs are where we spend our money and they had better be adding something to our economy's ability to function. Claiming increases in employment when nothing of value is produced (except to the lucky recipient of tax dollars in a useless gov't job) is money wasted that the original earner of those dollars could have spent themselves to add productivity to the economy.

With very few exceptions, governments should only provide safety and infrastructure and a market friendly but enforced regulatory system, that wouldn't otherwise be provided by the private sector.

Except where monopolies are allowed to exist, a competitive private sector
will always provide the most innovative, cost effective economy because there is a reward for doing so.

In ultra-socialist systems, government is where your money goes to die a wasteful and unproductive death.
