Stonepicker, if you think every media outlet is running down everything Stevie says and does you have never seen a critical or hostile media.

I think the media coverage in Canada is fairly balanced.

That's just it wmoebis, how do you please everybody? You can't. No matter what any gov. does, there is gonna be someone who disagree's. I would like to see the gov. in power do what is best for the country, it doesn't happen as much as it should, mainly because of special interest groups that have a personal agenda and fight gov. at every turn. Do what's best for the country, and that country will thrive!

So your ok with $750 million being spent on government ads. Just answer a question for once in your life without deflecting it else where. As for my head in the sand, I work hard for my money and can't stand seeing any forms of government wasting tax dollars.

But Stoneicker, if your all good with what Harper is doing with this $750 million, I guess you probably run your farm in the same manner!!!!

I would be happier if the money harper is spending in the middle east was being used for domestic infrastructure.

              Good things don't need advertising.

              Harper is way off base.

The middle east has no end game or positives.

Running a balanced budget and crating an infrastructure deficit isn't wise either. But that didn't start with harper.

This country needs 60 to 90 million people to pay for the required infrastructure.

no forage I''m not ok with wasteful spending. Every gov. in the free world spends money on self-promotion, get used to it, it's a fact of life in a democracy. Every opposition out there spends most of their time trying to make the governing party look bad. Isn't it the job of the opposition to work with gov. for the good of the country? I'm tired of opposition parties going against every piece of legislation whether it's good or not. Even on agriville someone does something positive (Tom ) and people like you, instead of supporting the cause, criticize him. You complain about the RR's and when someone tries to stand up to the RR's you complain about him too!!

Bucket, we have obligations as a country to support our neighbours on the international scene, i don't like it either but i feel it needs to be done. We're fighting for human rights IMO. I don't agree with women being treated like dogs or child brides or a host of other things that these demon-possessed wierdo's believe in. Get ready for the fight, it's already started in canada.

That is probably true at some level stonepicker but there has to be a separation at some point between promoting "the Government" which is composed of members of all parties and "the majority party within the Government"
It is not right that taxpayer money be used to promote the PC party of Canada, that money should be provided by PV donors and party fundraising activities.
I think that is the issue - that there is a bias in how "the Government" is being promoted, rather that it looks like PC promotion. Of course people will all view that bias, or lack of, in a different light depending on their political allegiance.

Please don't think the PC Party is the same as the present federal government. Not even close.

History shows some of the smartest decisions in Canada was the liberal government not going along with the USA Iraq invasion and the USA banking system.Harper so badly wants to leave some kind of legacy it scares me what he will do having such poor judgement in so many policy and and appointment issues.

Wasn't Harper against the Liberals when they wouldn't support the USA invasion of Iraq. Didn't Harper oppose Paul Martin when he stopped the Canadian banks from amalgamating?

Wow, you sure talk through to sides of your mouth Stonepicker.

Stonepicker, from reading your posts it's safe to say the wasting of $750 million on useless government ads doesn't bother you at all, because all you do is defect the issue and blame others.
