Probably pretty bad when all we can talk about is the weather.....but for those interested; there is a US weather site that does cover a large enough area that you can make sense of where the snow line is and circulation patterns past present and projected a few hours into the future.
A good source is weather.com and its "Weather in Motion" feature. Whole range of other maps as well for practically any area in US or Canada and offshore.
Sure helps if you have high speed internet; but that has nothing to do with being lucky or expecting democracy to become alive and well etc. etc.
You just don't get the big picture by sticking your head part way out the door ...a couple of times a year.
