Hi - We have a pretty good handle on supply for the fall, but what we're really searching for right now is non-GMO canola delivered between right away and until August.

And, even if you don't have any yourself, if you can help me find it I'll pay a broker commission. To discuss, please call me at 403-970-8623.

        Thanks!

Why don't you post your bid here?

You might be surprised with the calls (then you can lower your bid). But if you receive fewer calls and volumes than anticipated you'll have to repost a higher bid.

If your worried about competitiveness issues, your competitors know your bids, farmers tell them, and vice versa, you know what they are biding as well ( same farmers tell you what others are bidding)

Post your bid, it's a trust issue as well.

May I humbly ask which variety show qualify?

I just googled non GMO canola and all I got were the food bunny sites urging peopl not to use canola oil at all. Sad really.

Every reputable company posts their bid. Also make sure of the bond or immediate payment.

                    Hi guys,
We are looking for any non-GMO canola, but Clearfield seems to be the most common. However, there are some small supplies of older Argentine and Polish canola out there, and these are acceptable as well.
                    We have these requirements:
                    - #1 canola only
                    - Maximum green: 2%
                    - NO heated seeds

As far as the bid goes, it's hard to post because we have to quarantine the seed in a 14,000 bu bin, then take a representative sample and send it to a lab in the USA for an expensive test. Once we have results, we either put it in our production bin or reject it for non-GMO oil and put it in our regular GMO production bin, and we're no further ahead. Therefore, the bid will vary a bit depending on how much is available because there are extra costs if a farm has 12,000 bu or less, and there are varying freight rates. We are quoting with on-farm pickup, which has to be factored.

For these reasons, it is just best to call me at 403-970-8623 or 1-800-967-5157, or email me at roger.g.foster@gmail.com.

As far as payment, we can pay immediately for every load upon delivery. We can have the truck driver deliver a cheque every time, or mail it, or whatever we need to do to make it fair.

We are not bonded, but we have been established since 1970. We have references if you are seriously considering supplying us.

                    Thanks!

If you pay on delivery what is the procedure if it doesn't go non- GMO?

guess I would expect daily elevator bid upon delivery, then premium when test comes back. who pays for the test?
