Im sure every generation had its own stresses and tools to cope.
Dust bowl drove some insane. 40s it rained and everybody had a job. Remember leading cause of 4F class in US Army for WW2 was malnutrition related diseases. Grampa had no money for medicine for Gramma.
Dad always said that then everybody seemed to be in same boat.
I believe stress is normal its how we deal with it that counts.
Me,Im pretty tired of certain stresses and would be grateful for a change to those. Some think they have it tuff.

The stress then would be if a coyote got a few hens, or if your horse got a sore hoof. lol this is a fun topic.

Different stresses, different times. And yes, Tweety, some folks take stress seriously and differently than others. Some get stressed if their cat gets hit by a car, some don't kinda thing...

I think it was more stressful in the old days, i remember my dad saying that there was just no money around. It was tough to pay off land and machinery back then too, and far more physical labour also. Nowadays opportunities abound if farming doesn't work out.

Thats exactly what my granddad said"we didn't know it was the thirties because we where all in the same boat"

Another one"farming was never easy"-after my 20$ grain forcaste

Another one "we didn't build it for no reason"-not sure who is going to win that one

Stress and real stress, hard to say who then and who now is going through it,us men keep it to themselves
