    As soon as john deere suspects a downturn they cut production.

    They allow older units to gain value by not having so many new ones available. And keeping the cost if a new one high by lack of supply.


    Produce less make more.

      United States was fairly heavy into set aside programs for a few decades, idea was to lower production and increase prices.
      Farmers tended to use more inputs on acres they did plant so programs had limited success and have been mostly abandoned.

        Pisses me off if you don t sign these *** contracts they never take the grain, but then again I had a contract for dec delivery that never went until march. And had to sign that at a *** discount to the march price also.
