Math , numbers - canola reseed....

I think the reseed canola will easily hit 20%
18 mill ac would put it near 3.5 ....

Well this will mean higher canola seed prices in 16 because this reseed nicely dealt with the surplus of seed that had been building. Good for the seed canola producers around here that would have had acres reduced next year had this reseed not happened.

I know one company alone sent 15 semi loads to Manitoba in just a day and a half from weds to thurs - those ac have not been accounted for yet. So times by the other three company's and numbers add up in a hurry.

Ever wonder how much free/ discounted seed is getting thrown in sheds till next year through this whole thing? I'm sure it's going on, which is wrong. I know the seed price is ridiculous but.....

All those new big seed hawk tanks have been ****ing up all spring. When you're covering 65 ac/hr a lot of seed can go missing fast.

Um.... The treatment on canola seed kills the germ.

Ever try seeding a 1 year old bag? The way seed companies to it is blend 20% old with 80% new... 50% germ is lost in 1 year

What would happen if there was a wide spread crop failure and the seed growers couldn't supply over all needs for next year?
Would they allow farmers to seed bin run?
Would seed growers sneak bin run in as certified seed?
Or do seed growers never have a crop failure?

You guys are missing the point altogether .
Yes seed companies cleaned out the extra slush find bins - get over it
The main point is that the number of ac affected are gaurenteed double what. "Experts " were saying 4-5 days ago - easily
