Thank goodness we "had" decent subsoil moisture. But our light land won't have the reserves of the heavier stuff. Things are still hanging on and there were no germination issues. Sooner or later we are going to need a drink as well. I think it would give everything a bit of a boost here. May as well spray the weeds that came up with the crop.
We've had 1.91 inches since early April, since seeding we've had about a third of and inch and about a quarter of an inch three separate times.
Funny how it can go from "crap I wish it would stop raining to holy crap we could use some rain. What a difference a year can make on the Canadian Prairies.
How are other's doing?

East south east Alberta. About 30% of the farm has had about a half inch in two separate rains since April 2nd. The rest pretty much nothing. Guess we are going to spray some crop, not sure it makes any sense to do it but we are going to start Monday morning. We had good subsoil moisture and for the most part we have heavy land. We had good germination and the crop is hanging on. Don't know how it can last.
