We all know the flooding happenned,a lot of us experienced it maybe not as badly as your area did,but a lot of us experienced lost acres after all the inputs were put into the crop. How many billions of dollars do you think the ranchers and cattle farmers lost over 10 years how many of them were forced to sell there farms and ranchs a lot more then those flooded acres did,do you still hear them complaining about bse or read about it daily on the computer? We've moved on with life and played that hand for 10 years, but were not going to dwell on what happenned in the past,we made it and were some of the thankful ones that did.My advice to you sk3 is get over it and be thankful your still farming,if you can't then get help.Your the one that always says it's only farming, family is what matters.

Interest rates the fertilizer dealers charged killed many farms, why there wasn t something done about the gouging was unbelievable. legalized theft.

So have droughts and hail , but we will give you the red ribbon for first place on the all time disaster list - cause at the end of the day that's what your lookin for - good luck this year we all hope you get a great crop
I will leave this alone now - until you start chirpin about normal western canada 2015 weather - then it's game on - stick to your comments about your local area - they are somewhat informative as are everyone's here

Hopefully the system changes by the weekend - but it's being very stubborn only letting a few lines of bangers to develop. I still hold that by mid month it should break down but ya for sure the clock is ticking faster and faster now

I must be a special kind of lucky. I've had most of the flooding with a few hailed out crops over the past 6 years and now I'm in drought central. There is nothing normal about this weather. We can normally count on a fairly wide spread soaker or two in late May early June. These isolated bangers are July and August weather. In a normal year they are the random storms that the lucky ones cash in on. Rain in the next week to 10 days will make or break millions of acres in the NW.
