2015 will go down as the year when it didn't really rain is what Im thinking. As long as the blocker keeps in place the USA is going to get soaked in Key farming areas except California. Western Canada if you get a rain you look like a genius who did every thing right. HA Ha as I say as I bite my cheek.
See Isn't it funny how all the new super seeds and super advisers and Super Equipment and best disease spray and chem and all the shit show stuff we farmers buy Mother Nature still picks a winner and A Loser.
Yesterday I was listening in the sprayer all day to the adds about get the most out of your crop using this service or that. How a new drill will make you way better farmer. How variable rate etc works so great.
Funny the guy in our area that seeded for years with a basic home made air drill. Used a tilt thing as is guide to drive grew just as good of crops as the super duper guy who gives it every thing in the world. The first guy sold for a huge dollar had a decent farm sale and now Golfs and lives at the lake. The other guys still struggle because Mother Nature give and takes away.
So yes its farm progress show with all the new and improved stuff. Its fun to look at and even try some if it makes some sort of sense. But remember they all need us to survive. That's the funny part.
So hopefully your under one of these fast moving showers and miss the hail storms because till the blocker moves on nothing is going to change and like always mother nature wins the day.
We will need to get one of these showers in the next two weeks before the July Heat hits.

We finally got a little rain 10mm yesterday will buy us a little time.
We are lucky we had 6 inches of rain last fall as we only got about 14 mm rain in total this year so far.

To put things in perspective, it's not in the bin yet, but we are now closer by a couple of weeks - depending on temps, wind, and additional moisture.
I do understand the dryness was over extended in many areas, and just right in others. The frosts were just cruel and unusual treatment for those involved in the most honourable profession in the world.

Every one has theories, comments, ideas, suggestions. I believe everything works or moves in cycles.

- maybe we shift to 90 days of wetter?
- and to add to the forecast, then turning or cycling to the dryer bias mid August along with the historical suggested patters

Only got the two quarter inchers across most my acres. around town of Humboldt pretty excessive wet. With more in forecast for later this week looks good. Was getting dry but no disaster. Nice to be in an honourable profession Rareearth. Being in the oldest and owning as asshole that can echo out of would be bad. So things are not so bad.

Anywhere from 3 tenths to 1.3 inches across the farm last night here in South Central. Some hail on canola but should recover. Some lentils in the area really got pounded hard but they were at 6 node stage so thinking they should recover as well but setting it back. Have not really been short of moisture at any time this spring yet but some older hay fields are looking dismal. New hay is looking average. Green feed is going to be a hot commodity
