Good thing CNCP got me stopped eating meat!!!!!!:... I guess if we are to believe the UN et el... Global Warming is caused by CO2 and methane... why not stop livestock production!?? The Gov. will pay us Carbon Credits to not eat meat? Next a sin tax on meat/food at the grocery store???
How about for those who believe Plants ARE 'Sentient Beings'!!!
We should be able to tell where this leads... right? [Human Population too high and we produce C02!] All to save the planet!!!

"Don’t cry, Bossy
Better a PR stunt than a new status for farm livestock
The Quebec government tabled legislation last week which will place farmed livestock in a new legal class, believed to be the first of its kind. Bill 54 will designate livestock as ‘sentient beings’ capable of feelings and possessed of
“their own biological imperativesâ€, according to the translation. Last year the extremist Animal Legal Defense Fund
ranked Quebec’s animal rights laws as the weakest among the 13 provinces and territories except for Nunavut’s. The
bill defines unlawful animal-raising practices, patterned after animal cruelty laws in Manitoba, Ontario and British Columbia,
but with higher prescribed penalties. Possible fines range from $500 to $250,000 per offense with jail terms of
up to 18 months.
The Union des producteurs agricoles was not sure how to take it. It said that while the public wants assurances that
farm animals are treated responsibly, legislation should not be influenced by pressure groups that present livestock
abuse as a common part of livestock farming." Agriweek June 14
