....or have some asshole ask what I'm complaining about. In my mind my posts are reflective of what has happened here, I can't predict the future.

The crop basically all came up. Biggest rain so far is about a third of an inch(May 6), three other quarter inch shots since and various tenth at a time shots. Total for June .58 of an inch not all at once. My land is variable, light spots and hills will be BAD. From the road at 100km/hr they don't look too bad but don't stop and take a closer look. Do we look for larger headers to harvest this shit (spend more on a shitty crop?).
As I've stated before the least I am hoping for at this time is getting my expenses back, I don't think there will be a profitable acre on this farm. That doesn't mean zero crop it means I didn't make any money and hope to get most of the expenses back to do it again next year. HOPE!!! This isn't over, how will what's there fill without rain? Subsoil is only capable of so much. Amazed it hung on as long as it has.

Bucket one needs an html code, I uploaded to photobucket, click the html box associated with each pic to copy it, paste that code in reply window. Practice forum available. Anyone use a phone to post pics?

After you upload and pick the picture you want to post use the list of options on the right side of the screen. Use the HTML link but not the HTML thumb option. Get your kids to help. LOL

bigzee, here is the deal. Do not take this as a personal sleight though. The last several years, I distinctly remember several posts with pictures on here, while many either never seeded, or got drowned out. I do not recall getting ticked off that others had better fortune than me.

Yes, it was a bit painful, but it reminded me there is hope, we were not all flooded out. But most significantly, it made me glad for those who DID hit the jackpot.

This is the first time in many, many years, that I and these guys have seen crops at this point even close to long term average potential. We are tentatively excited, but we will still need some rain to make it all come together in the end.

Wheat with wide leaves, DARK GREEN in color, and canola which has leaves bigger than a dime, is actually refreshing for a change.

Probably why these guys are posting these pics. Kind of a FINALLY statement!

And last, my whole phsyche was almost completely killed in the last several years. I was questioning my ability to grow a decent crop, I felt like a failure in many ways for my families sake.

It is refreshing to see that with favorable conditions, we still got it, our soil is not dead anymore, and a good profit will help the long road to the recovery of our financial picture here in the flood zone.

Like I have said many times before. When places like Kindersley are on the dry side, our area shines. Just the way it is.

I see where you are coming from, but do not take it personally, it is not bragging. Just like when JD posted pics a few years back, while our crops were non existent or sucked badly: He was not bragging, it was just the way things shook down...

Sorry to those who ARE suffering. It sucks, and I wish you all the very best..
