Who is using the insect thresholds and disease risk flow charts to help decide if you should apply pesticides?

I asked a neighbor how much drier it would have to be before he'd decide not to spray?

Dismal past rain.
Thin open canopy.
Crop staging.
Crop potential.
Forecast rain. (Nothing general at this point)

I am not spraying fungicide. Conditions would say spray, the crop says no though. Not a sign of disease. Considering the wet leaves at night, and into the day, it is surprising.

free not sure if you grow rr canola but it always pays us back big time with fungicide not sure why rr is always wprse ? smaller stock ? dont know...we are spraying everything , even the oats , one quarter dosed up bad already

Anybody spraying fungicides this year, as dry as it is, must have to much money and need to burn it up.

We've had the three best fungicides going
1. Sun
2 heat
3 wind
4. Small amount of vegetative growth( still see dirt between rows)

Spraying all the wheat with prosaro. The crop doesn't really justify it but the conditions have been ideal for major fusarium problems.
Hard to believe as dry as it is. Seems like this year we can't win. Gotta love farming.

tstep. not dry here. today is the first day the crops have dried enough to not get soaked walking thru them at 3:00 pm another half inch on weekend

HRS sprayed with Caramba.

Lentils getting Delaro and Priaxor. They look to good not spray, and good prices lie ahead IMO.

According to suppliers fungicide is cut way back the this year. Fusarium spraying is not at time yet here.

is caramba as good as presaro ? lot cheaper now, we have always used presaro

Have never seen a test trial to compare the two but both claim to be better.

The BASF products are cheaper than Bayer and the BASF rebate is there for non Liberty growers (although small).

We're using Caramba (maybe some Lance) this year....used Prosaro and Proline last year with no complaints.

How much less is Caramba? Last year it was basically the same before any program disounts for either product.
