Yorkton got HAMMERED today. Our yard got a couple tenths, but north a half mile, water ponded on the dirt roads, looks like a 3 tenths to half inch shot. Fabas will be happier.

LOTS of marble sized hail in the yard, but came straight down, no wind.

But just north of Yorkton, it hailed HARD and was windy. Early bloom canola looked pretty sick in the way home from the hail. shoulders of road had a lot of hail. Couldn't see anything, thought the vehicle would be getting damaged, but doesn't seem like it.

60% chance all weekend, highest temp forecast is 27.

Oh, and the smoke was back with a vengeance after the storm when the wind switched. Then just south of Canora it was clear of smoke. On the way back north, you could see the smoke up ahead, just hanging there, VERY thick, and started at Canora again.

Pardon me, I thought you were cooking in your underwear only and a jacket.

                              3 tenths since may 1st.

Didn't germinate. Looks like shit. Anything that did start basically dried out.

Guys that had a good start are still looking at 15 bpa tops. No rain.

After flowing or heading most crops need an inch just to maintain yields.

But like some of the experts say ....the smoke will save it for a rain.

Geezus they can think up excuses to not say this crop is ****ed.
