Those peas could do 30bu/ac if they get rain. Canola the same.

Some in my area same. Most somewhat better. Big difference in maturity of peas. Ours behind those.

Tom has a good flex header... and this is July 8 not Aug 8. A month of growth and 2" of rain would build a 60-70 percent of normal yield.

In 2002 we had 12bu CWRS and 18 yellow peas. Most of our neighbours wrote everything off. This in not 2002... not even close. If we can keep temps under 33 C and 2" more moisture there will be a 2/3 crop.NOAA is predicting 3-4" between now and Aug 12.

peas will be 15-18 bu/acre. I have had a crop a bit better than that once that went 21.

NOAA hadn't got it right yet this summer here on the prairie. Most of the canola will be in swaths in the dry areas by first week of August. There will be swathing in July in s/SE Alberta

right, there is canola that is done flowering right now in the southwest. the heat this week and next could turn it to pepper.

Those peas are yellowing. ... there's no way they will turn green again. That canola is going to germinate flower and set pods in July? Why do we seed in May if July makes a crop.


There's durum fields that are turning... canola completely done flowering....

Those are nice crops, some trader is going to see those and just watch prices for peas and conola will go down, maybe next time pick some poor crops to look at. The smoke obviously helped those out.

And that is the regular size coke can maybe pick a bigger can next time just to make it more dramatic. There must be a full 2 inches of daylight between the ground and bottom peas so easy harvesting there.
