Most of those market experts are in hiding after giving a doom and gloom price outlook this spring. Huge carryovers and a were in a down cycle. Lol That changed pretty fast.
I like to go listen to them and do the complete opposite of what they recommend, about as accurate as weather forecasting.

Just drove 1800km since Sat noon in central AB. Better land will likely not see crop ins payments at 80 percent is our guess if normal rains from here to harvest. Canola varieties came through this is fantastic shape... for those who seeded/reseeded and have decent stands. lots chest high and growing like crazy with cooler weather. Some (less than 30 percent) is going out of bloom... rest will bounce back with vengeance.

Alberta never gets down to 30 percent of last year because a lot of production is irrigated. It will still do 50% even in a wreck year. Lentils will start in the Bow Island area tomorrow although we have forecast for rain today and since guys want to start harvest tomorrow I think it will come. Very high humidity lately.

There will be at least 30% blanks in most fields of canola by next week.

6% of Alberta is irrigated, that will make up for the rest of the province being in a drought. YEA RIGHT!!!!
