Canary prices have been on the rise lately?
Sounds like generally poor canary and flax crops around Regina to Moosomin and across to Weyburn?
I doubt Rosetown/Kindersley area will make average this year either.
Contracts without act of god could be expensive to fill this year?

The canary here is pretty awful, and I do not know why. All the other crops are great, but something about the year canary did not like. Maybe a shallow root symptom before it DID rain? Could be a good price year. Thing is though, with other crop prices, what is better? 15 of canary at 20 bucks a bushel, (if that happened), or 80 to 100 bushel feed barley at 4? That is what crops look like around here for the two...

Those days of canary being worth it are fading, unless you get a big yield AND a big price. Otherwise it is a lottery.

Too bad, cuz I like growing it. Thankful that seeding got late and pushed me into barley.

Canary at the Indian Head Agriculture Research Farm yesterday looked awesome. But so did all their other crops!
