So how's the current political situation (at all three levels of government) working during the current time period.

What will things be like when the current downturn takes years if not decades to begin to right itself.

And darned if you should buy the argument that it is the opposition who should shoulder the blame for the current situations.

      bad times will come along
no matter who is in power

and no party , will be able to fix this country just like that.
( i actually feel sorry for the NDP in Alberta)

But Harper pretended to be something different, he wasn't.

Turns out he is not really a free
enterprise, competition, fiscal responsible . kind of guy .
(i could have lived with that)

no Just another Mulroney , selling out the nation at every turn.

Just as we see the effects of 30 years of that kind of management (or lack off) coming home to roost in Alberta.
( versus places that actually managed things, Norway)

Why would we want to continue on this path ?

piss away the wealth of the nation.

and now use taxpayer's own money
to pay ,to advertise, and fund , the big vote buying
(family allowance )payment just before the election.
      same old garbage.

      and Free market competition.
      Ha.
he can't even successfully , slap the wrist of the Rail roads.

little lone lift a finger to bring any competition there.

      any modern developed country's govt.

that has no strategic transportation plan, and monitoring , to get the nations production to world markets
      does not deserve to govern.

      simple as that .

whether it be private or public, system ,or both.

how daft do you have to be, to think that is not in your job description as a govt.
      apparently they are.

i guess if we can be bought off with our own money before the election and forget the billions they have cost us.

      we are even dumber

      give him another 4 years.
and think what other possible public institutions there are
that could be a gold mine in private hands.

As far as what the other parties and would do in Agriculture,

well i do not think we can expect much, we burned those bridges long ago.

but doing nothing , would be far better than what we have gotten lately.

hopefully in the future when , we are getting squeezed,
      by the high seed costs,
      high fert. costs,
      high chem costs,
      high basis costs,
      high transportation costs,

and the free market competition ,
you thought you always voted for .
      ,does not exist.

we will remember who to thank.

the man ,can not even let a free market exist in the medical pot business.

like everything else, he will use your tax $, for police and prisons , so a handful of corporations can charge triple for medical pot.

      sound familiar.

electing NDP , liberal, or coalition.
will be no magic cure ,

but sorry these guys gotta go.

      .

Unfettered free enterprise is today's norm, or should I say selectively fettered free enterprise, heh Sawfly?

Unfettered free enterprise is the quickest route to socialism.

          Just wait for it.

You can't starve the peasants. It's just bad business. History has proven it over and over again.

Canada is probably getting more like Europe all the time.
I am fairly right wing but just dont care anymore. Which EU country do you think Canada will look like in 30 years??

                BP,

If Mulcair and Justin get control... we will be a cross between France and Greece. We already about to have turned Alberta into Sweden.

Looks like Ontario and Quebec won't have to worry about squabbling over transfers from Alberta... Notely will take care of any extra income! Brad Wall will soon feel very lonely!!!

Spare us Tom already, Who the hell has been the government the last decades in Alberta and went to a place where the rich got so rich and everyday people work but cant even feed themselves just to keep the rich going.

I told you over and over if the conservatives keep governing extreme nutballs you will end up with the left extreme nut balls so you have no one but to blame yourself, should have never elected a right wing dictator who was totally owned by the oil companies and had a one track mind only for oil companies and screw everyone else including pulling the wool over farmers eyes that getting rid of wheat board was the biggest deal it wasn t by a a long shot infact marketing for farmers has never been so un free market as it is now.

                    Riders,

Be responsible for once. Learn how to market your crop. Never have we been blessed with so many options... and had opportunities that are endless.

To say the Federal Conservatives are owned by oil companies is hogwash. 100 percent of funding comes from average working class Canadians!

We live in the best country in the world... blaming the federal Conservatives for putting in provincial left wing extreme parties is absurd. Sask is proof you are wrong. So is ontario and quebec.

                      BTW Riders,

Blame Manning and Danielle Smith for the fiasco in Alberta. PM Harper and the federal Conservative Party had nothing to do with the PC Alberta breakup of gov. with conservative values.

Of coarse Harper is controlled by the oil companies, his whole economic game plan for Canada was base on oil, Nothing else. Oil is tanking and so is the Canadian economy and dollar. As we all know the only job Harper ever held was a mail room clerk for major oil company.

Tom, when you met with your MP the other day instead of listing to him reading the PMO talking points you should have asked some tough questions. But, instead you rewarded him with a big campaign cheque to go home with.

Tom it's getting very tiring listing to you blame everybody else for your Conservative Governments screw up. Open your eyes and ears, and try to learn from your mistakes and not make excuses for them. Canada has lots of opportunity for all of us, try and be a little more positive on occasion.

Anytime governing parties start campaigning instead of governing sends signals they are in trouble or did something really ****ed up.

Both the federal and saskatchewan governments should be focused on governing and letting their record speak.

Oil at under 50 and a gas price of 1.20 a liter is a good example of not governing. They should be looking into collusion and anti competition issues.

But you can't fine your backers.

Much like doing nothing about the railways or ignoring the drought that in most eyes will end with this rain event although around here it will just **** up an already shitty harvest about to start.

Agree the price of gas/diesel is the biggest RIP OFF! all gov's should be exposing the gouging a long time ago, therefore only logical assumption is dictated by BIG Oil. Actions speak louder than words.
Further the political ads are sickening, acts of desperation. They all need to focus on issues and how to govern, NOT cut down the other leaders/ parties. Or they must think we are morons that need to be told what to do everyday.

Bunge managing the new CWB is great. Bunge is our families best Canola marketing partner(with AOG contracts and freight payments)... and we truly look forward to adding another outlet for other grains we grow.

Grain growers have never been more profitable. Service issues with the RR are being dealt with... interswitching etc... much work has gone into a rational and reasonable plan that any new gov. can easily implement.

National Security has been carefully balanced with private rights... Financial corps/Credit Cards legislated into line...

Interest rates are low to maintain a low cost business environment.

Perhaps I will now send my MP a cheque for the upcoming election! You folks are drinking left wing rhetoric and have swallowed it hook line and sinker. My Dearest says MP Harper has been the best PM in history... and I had a hard time arguing factually to counter her statement.

Have a drink of Justin and Mulcair reality... and be sure you like what you taste... you just could be responsible for being a part of a silly experiment that will only reck our children's and Grand Children' Country.

I will toast you any day... with the reasonable actions of decent people who have unselfishly defended and built a better Canada over the past 10 years!

                              Cheers
