    Canada needs a Donald

We need someone to step up forward and not be owned by oil or by unions and tell whats going on as it is. The Donald is a nutball in some regards but it is true he is owned by no one and tells it the way it is. The politicians are all in a tither that he is telling it as he sees it instead of reading off of party cue cards how refreshing.
I don t know who the next pm will be but I ve had it with someone that makes parliament basically irrelevant/

Don t worry about the senate Wall why don t you lobby getting rid of mps none of them have a say in anything anyway what a waste of taxpayer money.

With his money he can basically say what ever he wants....it doesn't matter anyway. Theatrics...

Doesn't that say a lot about or society though. Down there if you have money you can say something original. Not saying I agree with his content or not. However he saying the truth about their border and immigration people just walk across and who is walking across? Same thing in canada pretty much.

How many of you have or have even heard of an mp or mla having an opinion about something?

If an MP says anything out of line in canada he or she is literally crusified by the left wing media, even an off the cuff remark made 10 years earlier and the opposition mp's and media are all over it, being called everything from racist to hitler. Riders, you want someone who says it like it is. Would you then call him a dictator?

Under our supposed to be system of democracy there shouldn't be a dictator. But our system is flawed somewhat in that once you have a majority if you have a leader that controls everyone and everything then you have a dictator protected by our rules of which a dictator shouldn t exist.
Supposedly that was the role of the senate to make sure majorities don't go nuts.

In theory the system is supposed to support he idea that all Canadians opinions count but reality is it only counts on one day which is Election Day.

We need way more public votes on issues. And I could never understand why we don't do as the states and have extra votes on issues during election. For example gun control one simple question let Canadians decide and it's done.

Referendums and a Triple E senate would be a step in the right direction.

Getting rid of our left wing media would also be another.

              Oliver,

What would the left wing folks talk about... if they stuck to facts and rewarded good sound business management~!!!

There would be no need to have Gov. interfere with average people and micromanage their lives!

The something for nothing I can get it all crew... is NOT PM Harper and the Conservatives.

              Cheers!

Hahahaha good sound business is giving away everything to foreigners then when the one and only one commodity that the economy is stunned on goes down the country heads for a recession. How stupid. And to add insult make Canadians pay the highest fuel costs anywhere. Omg

                  Riders,

Just checked Gasbuddy, LA California is $5US for 3.78L = $1.72/L CDN. They can get black oil from anywhere in the world... and have refineries.

That's not the way to convert fx for pricing tom.

                    You know better.

5 usd divided by 3.78 is still only 1.32 cdn.

                    Just ask depape.

So you're buying gas in la with canadian dollars?
Pretty tough when no one has confidence in our economy to the point our dollar isn't worth much.

.73 l in minot, compare apples to apples if you re going to use the peso everything is gonna be expensive. Lol

                        Bucket,

$5US at .766 CDN exchange rate today is much higher than Canadian pump prices. EU prices are higher again by a large margin.

Gasoline is way more than CDN pump prices... and the US is the biggest oil producer in the world. Bluff called. ND/Libs want a CDNcarbon tax on top; by the way.

                        "Germany Gasoline prices, liter

Gasoline prices: We show prices for Germany from 13-Apr-2015 to 20-Jul-2015. The average value for Germany during that period was 1.58 U.S. Dollar with a minimum of 1.52 U.S. Dollar on 13-Apr-2015 and a maximum of 1.61 U.S. Dollar on 20-Jul-2015. My point is that it is not that simple to just convert pump prices to cdn using a simple formula otherwise grain prices would make more sense.

It was for humor purposes only.

Thought maybe depape would chime in from the beach front or maybe he is updating the pdqinfo website pretty darn slow.

Since taxes are 30 percent of the price of fuel... to blame fuel co's for price fixing the tax portion is wrong. Refining, retailing, crude price, and taxes make the price... many players... competition everywhere.

Not Collusion as suggested here. Studied dozens of times. Blaming the price 'high' cost of fuel on the Federal Conservatives is like blaming PM Harper for the drought this June.

Norway for instance...$1.94US/L for Gasoline and $1.72US/L for Diesel.

Close to the most expensive fuel cost in the world is in Norway... yet you love the Gov of Norway???

                            Wow.
