Rain Rain and More Rain on way!

Basically from the road trips I have been doing the last two weeks, Rain now will help fill soil back up but really only add a few bushels to the grand scheme of things. It could delay the later seeded Canola that was planted after the spring frosts.
But a rain at exhibition Week in Regina for our part of the world is the last one we need for the year till late October for freeze up. Filling is taking place and rain now makes for big kernels.
Our area is down for 30 mm today and 30 to 40 tomorrow the big rain day. I hope we only get 25 at the most because any more and that will start pooling of water again.
Hope every one gets the soaking they need because next year if El Nino hits it would make this years drought look like a cake walk.

We need drought for another 10 weeks. It's all about timing.

5 inches will wipe out /flood and do way more damage than grain fill and kernel size or weight gain.

SE sask will be missing it. It is so spotty here the last two weeks. My farm in july, like is at .30, yet some land of mine six miles away 1.40 for july. American forecast for here is 6 mm only

South east sask where we are haying had an amazing hay crop and seems to be getting small showers to keep slowing things up.Takes 3 acres to get a bale at home here and there we are getting over 3 bales to an acre. That is 10 times the hay crop.crops around there looks good too.

Agchat, I don't know if SE SK will miss this one. Greg Johnson, tornado hunter says Estevan to Gainsborough will see a strong chance of severe storms including tornados.

That is my point, we are in the Stoughton area, which is still classified as SE, this system I think will just barely catch the EXTREME southeast. That is what when on last week, they clipped the SE very corner. It seems when a pattern is set, it takes a long time to change.

So far so good. Only got a tenth out of the first wave. Second wave looks to be a miss too, at least the heart of the system.

I hope we get away with little to none.

                          Free,

I hope they (forecasters)are wrong as well. Pain does not need Misery... yet all to often they accompany each other!

The big rain is still on its way.The south east looks pretty quiet on radar for all the tornado hunters setting up there.
