    Trans Pacific Partnership

Prairie agricultural producers are very dependent on export markets for our well being.
We can single out the farm groups that continue to support supply management, even at risk of jeopardy to trade relationships, for criticism over supporting domestic reliant producers.
Those of us forced to support the CFA through municipal taxes can pressure APAS and other organizations to change support for policy that works against us.

Gotta love the dairy lobby, how can you justify having milk 2x the price it is across the boarder in ND or Montana. No wonder the health of our population is suffering. We have artificially inflated the price of milk and made unhealthy drinks like pop relatively cheaper and more attractive for low income earners. All to preserve a welfare program (supply management) for millionaires.

Actually they become millionaires when the retire in debt like all others till then. But check the facts all over google, milk is NOT good for humans any way, we are saving our health with reduced consumption. Yay diminishing demand a backward positive result.

So happy we are in the race to the bottom.....not!

Lets just call a spade a spade, the elimination of supply management would benefit everyone in this country except those who own quota, mostly in ontario and quebec. Maybe western canada cold have a meaningful poultry industry and use up some of this cheap wheat we are swimming in.

The Americans subsidize their supply and control it in their terms, but it is not labelled the same way, if you want to call a spade a spade.
Their subsidies are more civilized now, but remember the 1000's of Holsteins that were shot and buried to correct the market.

I will, however, agree that the quota, value of, control of and acquisition is a problem, however those can be fixed without destroying the basics.
