Bring on foreign investment....then when your grandchildren are starving because China came here and bought up all the land to feed their country, you can proudly tell them you made more in the sale than your neighbour.
This 'society' has been good to us, has given us lots...but now our society honors the dollar above everything else...we will get what we deserve.

The Grand kids will not starve, because in the future most of this country will be Chinese, and all other races that have already moved in..

Just imagine what your grandparents or great grandparents depending how old you are.Imagine what they would think of 10 or 20 thousand acre farms. There is no law or rules that can stop change in the agriculture BUSINESS wether you like it or not.

My great grandparents left the ole country 100 so odd years ago to this harsh world with the dream of owning farm land. They were ****ing starving to death there and lived in ****in tents here -40 . The foreigners that want to turn our future generations into serfs once again can go pack sand. Anyone that wants us to be a sell out province should rot in .......

Just saying are you really a Canadian if your here two weeks a year. F$$k some of you are blind. One long drought in the area assinaboia land was in and let's see how long they find a renter.
Own a farm vs a renter. Rather simple owner is better.

It is refreshing to finally see young people interested in farming again.Pretty much lost a whole generation of farmers already. With an open market and a bunch of dirt available many have again chose farming as a career. The ones that want to turn back the clock are the ones that just want to increase their personal wealth. So should governments help farmers with 5 or 10 or 20 million in land buy more by eliminating competition?

There is NO land to buy now for anyone thinking of starting. The highest bidders have been the 5-20,000 acre farms. They get all the land that comes to rent or sale. How do you get in? Hopeless in our area. Many retired are laborers if not serfs. Less risk I guess, own nothing owe nothing. Farming is only HUGE business it's glory days are gone, same with rural communities.
