So I read a bit of an article while waiting to get my sore toe looked at, and is it true as the article states they own Land in Australia and are shipping the wheat direct home? If so do they pay income tax on that value if not holy cow.

Maybe your toe problem has something to do with the election?? Is it your left foot? Being a LEFTY would be my diagnosis. I would suggest you vote right the problem will go away.

Haha left and right are fine but I was surprised
To hear this shipping grain directly back to china actually happening already in Australia. Would think that has significant ramifications here.

my take is there not doing it YET.
But there is a loophole in corporate tax structure when it comes to overseas companies, tax is minimal to the point other than gst that's it but then back in china they right it off as a cost so its zero tax effectively
again I don't understand chinese companies based in Australia listed on Australian stock exchange as aussie companies but chinese owned but parent company who owns these aussie companies is based in hong kong a bit of pee and thimble stuff
