Bidding adieu

I have sent a note to the mayor today indicating that I am resigning my role as moderator to this meeting room.

This is a result of a change in direction for me. As of tomorrow I will not be representing the CWB.

I have enjoyed my time as moderator, having been here from the start. There have been animated exchanges, but all were in the spirit of debate.

I'll continue to watch the site out of personal interest. Perhaps I'll even participate under the veil of anonymity - just to keep things interesting.

I extend my best wishes to all who visit this site for this and future years.

Just a special note of thanks for your participation in the Commodity Marketing Area from a fellow moderator. You did (and still do) an excellent job of treading the fine line between personal opinion, corportate policy/communication and respect for others in the discussion group. Your opinion is respected and appreciated.

I look forward to working with you in the future in your new role as well as continued participation in this area (although maybe under a new alias).

Tom, sorry to hear you're going. The reason I'm sorry you're going is that with 25% fewer moderators, those of us that remain could be the brunt of 25% more jabs or uppercuts (grin).

I'll watch for your postings under a new pseudonyn. Wonder if I'll recognize them. Good luck.

You'll be a little surprised to get a farewell from Parsley, but it comes with a grudging admiration for your doggedness in defending the merits of the single desk. Considering the legislation doesn't support a single desk, you've been wise to target the merits instead.

You've devoted a lot of your time to Agri-villers, and I want to thank you for that because time is not easy to come by, and your gift has not gone unnoticed, and I'm sure it has not gone unappreciated either, thalpenny.

You have done a good job in teaching me to control my anger and emotions...I have learn't much over the past 10 years.
