lol - they sample every truck load that can be traced - eventually . Go ahead, all it takes is one importer oversees to detect it and reject a ship load - if it is traced back to you , and they can now, you could be on the hook for that shipload - plus.... they can detect as low as 20 seeds per 40 tn if they want and Japan and others can and will do it.
          Don't poke a bear with a stick.
Ask the triffid flax guys on how that fuked the flax market.
Or the poor excuse in the yellow mustard market for the 'gmo' thing.
overseas buyers are ruthless and will find any excuse to drive the market down if they have an angle at all- don't give it to em - it will effect us all and most likely cost you your farm regardless of how wealthy you think you are . They can take you out like a bird on a barn and faster than you can blink.

How did Hudye Farms ever make out with being charged for delivering non reg varieties?

If One signs an affidavit that he is delivering non cleaver, non manipulator or even varieties, who is a court going to believe?
Your signed affidavit or a sample that was taken out of your truck by a remote probe, that the CGC won't even certify or take as an official sample, 10 - 15 min before your truck is even unloaded and you never see but is mixed with hundreds of other samples in some back room in a dirty elevator and is only accessible to the elevator staff?

How can they prove or guarantee that those 20 seeds weren't left or stuck in the probe from the last truck?

If you think those samples never get mixed up or contaminated you are wrong.

I have seen wheat samples that were requested for re inspection when the sample container was opened up it was barley instead of wheat. You really think that 2 different canola samples or parts of, never get x contaminated.

Works the other way too! What if someone elses sample contaminates yours and you are charged when you are really innocent. The CGC should be making elevators sample using certified xcut samplers and each sample stored in locked box if they want farmers to take all these risks.

Not saying it can be or wont be proved in court but if you deliver 10 loads and each sample is positive - your fuked. Why take the chance in the first place. Your only defending if you are guilty imo.

Not guilty or ever will be, but just saying that all these rules are being put in place and are not policed any way of policing.
Every elevator is supposed to keep 1 kg sample of every load. I doubt if any are keeping 1kg more like 500g and the CGC does nothing about it.

Probes aren't flushed between loads I have seen lots of times when the first part of probe sample is thrown out because it is contaminated with last trucks grain. Or samples mixed up on grading bench with elevators loading out 112cars at same time unloading 50 or 60 trucks plus transferring grain within elevator, all those samples coming into one crowded grading room, don't think that things don't happen.

*** you we promoted the shit last year!
Ya we offered it to a select few who knew the drawbacks. Never even ordered a single fukin bag this year because of the shit show. Last year was far different than this year - there was zero push back from any domestic crusher in western Canada last year. We knew there was going to be issues last Jan so we threw in our hat long ago before the current growing season.

We let all the other guys in the area sell it this year - not worth our risk this year. P&H sold it willy nilly for Christ sakes.
So where did we ever promote it ? Ever ?
Word of mouth to those who knew better - that's it - ever.
Don't piss on me - the writing has been on the wall for everyone else since early June. And the warnings were out there that this year it could be a very big potential problem. It still may be , and could very well be, ass covering by the line companies and never a problem, but if it is all I am saying and others for months now, it may not be all roses even domestically now.
Unfortunately a lot of ac were sprayed before the 'real' warnings were put out this year and to see the b/s now is not right at all to those who used it under false presumption. This b/s should have been much more clear by late winter because the whole industry already knew the direction it was going to do.

From what I understand if canola has clever on it or any grain has manipulator on it your marketing options are greatly decreased (maybe non-existent?)

Glad we didn't use either......was looking into Manipulator but chose not to due to registration. P&H also sent out a letter last winter saying they had banned manipulator.
