Is this not worst year in the history of farming?

Nearly everything and anything that could go wrong this year did. Weather machinery, marketing. I know one farmer who bought out his canola contract the week after the frost cost him $30,000 Another farmer had 5000 acres and no crop insurance. Another has 3 quarters, erbicide wouldn't work even after spraying twice. Then frost, no insurance, fert & spray & machinery payments bills due, hardly any crop. nothing could go right this yr. Good thing I have good paying winter off farm employment. Next year.

A comment from AFSC Crop Insurance is this is the worst weather year in 165 years. Don't know know how they made this comment but reflects the reality.
