    Its raining again...!!!

The dog is hiding under the hall desk, the cat is running like a mad hatter because the dog keeps burrowing deeper into the boxes under the desk... as the thunder shakes our house!

Its raining again... a wonderful song that brings back so many memories... hope springs eternal.. that harvest will return!

The rain is only good if it comes just after seeding with a inch. Then Farm progress show with a inch. Then mid July with a inch. Then the final rain is a inch exhibition week in Regina and that is all a farmer needs for rain. 1/4 in last night and more on way today.

Woo hoop tom it's raining, wow only two months too late. I m buying a baler to try roll up what there is or isn't for crop and greenfeed and looks like that isn't gonna happen this week. Quality of that is deteriorating.

So woo hoo tom!!!! Praise praise love they neighbor.

Maybe fall seeded crops would be better?

LOL, SF3 if you only got 4 inches of growing season moisture the whining would really start.

                      Furrowtickler,

Our Canola is really enjoying this change in the weather! You can really see this in the flax! Golden and yellow together!!!

It is truly amazing how Canola reacted to a little bit of moisture. Guess it was just sitting there waiting for the clouds to open up. We don't really have much experience with the Cinderella crop, always grew lentils and a Canary. Think it's better to cut her down early - grass green? Full moon August 29, if that means anything.

                          SDG,

If you can actually predict the weather...???

I am truly amazed how the straight cut guys get through Canola/frost so well with quality!

It will be good for my plow down/cover crop peas planted last week. Who knows maby another flush of millet will come and I can combine it for screenings at $200/mt. Could be my cash crop this year. Haha. Still holding at 4% done harvest.
