If there were alternatives, I would look at them. But I do not feel for me, that there are any that are not scary as heck. Personally, if there was a party further right of Harper and the conservatives, like refoooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmm again, I would vote that route.

No way in heck I am going to vote for the other two over Harper. I value my marketing freedom, my guns, family values, criminals in prison, illicit drug restrictions, saying no to the natives.

the pot thing is neither here nor there.
who needs the costs of processing it as a criminal substance.
legalize it and organized crime is out all that money.
even the Americans are finding out it makes no sense to fill prisons with offenders.
you have the costs of trial
      cost of prison
then of course they are now unemployed.
      then your supporting their kids.

the only reason for Harper to keep it criminal. is that it keeps the corporate pot growers he set up extremely profitable.
      boy does that sound familiar.

Yes I can understand how families were raised and certain things branded into their values. But in the modern day society a person has to be careful on not mixing up emotions and reality.I think much different than my parents and my kids think way different on things than me.But the main thing is we are thinking then choosing. That is how societies evolve.Does Harper represent your family values Freewheat?

Weak minds and fairy tales, hmm!

I suspect that means that if religion and a god can be believed, then Trudeau and Mulcair can be believed in as well.

If we can't stand for something... we will fall for everything else.

What a mess to have every little interest group with a bone to pick... calling the shots!

We will get exactly the gov. we deserve...

What we sow... we reap... as sure as the morning is followed by evening.

God bless Canada... I am sure glad God is patient... wonder when the Lord (the creative force that planned and put this absolutely amazing complex system together) will say enough already!?

Enough already will be when harper is voted out.

Sure the others are not better but harper reminds of the liberals when they were done.

Agree Sawfly, make it totally legal, grow your own, use at your own risk. Kill the billions in profits in crime and punishment. Societal costs are ridiculous, jails are NOT free. Policing could be used for much more important crimes. Google pot, it's a cancer killer, again perhaps a huge loss of $$ to the cancer industry. Everyone has a stake in it. Make work project by keeping it illegal!

Talking about "Weak minds and fairy tales"!

You actually believe there are no consequences for mocking God, killing babies, mind altering brain cell killing trips... etc. etc.,!?

Freedom of choice is an amazing system...
as King David learned after taking Bathsheba and killing Uriah on the front lines of battle.

King David paid for the rest of his life for these stupid decisions...
and lost the right to build the temple he so longed to build...
the desire of his heart to worship his creator. Interesting that Solomon was the child of this choice...
and Solomon built the temple instead of King David his father.

What a tangled web we weave... when we practice to deceive!

Denial isn't just a river in Egypt... it is alive and well right here!!!

Cheers! The measure we use to judge others... will in turn be used to judge us!

Oh!, I forgot harper in the equation.

Well he is insignificant in the mix, so no wonder.

                      New guy.

I am not the keeper of Harper and his personal beliefs and family values. He goes to a church that is Biblicaly based and well aligned with my own faith. If he follows what his church and his Bible tells him, I am confident he does share very similar family values in a personal sense.

However, Preston Manning explained well in his book, that in Canada, you need to keep your personal faith out of your politics as best you can, to which I agree. I think Harper does this exceptionally well. Otherwise we would be having civil war in this country over abortion and gay marriage.

So to answer your question. I make the assumption that yes, Harper shares my family values.

Some of the policy he uses to pass it along, includes the choice in child care program which offers equality to all parents, not just to those who have a mother who stays at home and raises the kids, but to those that work as well. The other is income splitting to alleviate pressure on single income homes, so that mom at home is rewarded a slight bit.

Mulcair is all for killing the babies before they are born, and said recently that, "A mom at home is not good for the family."

Harper allows free choice on the abortion issue. And then there is JR., who only allows for those who would rather kill the unborn to run for his party. No choice. You wanna run as a liberal? Well, you only can if you make sure killing babies before they are born, is your top priority.

Yet Harper is the dictator? lol. Right.

I am not certain of the relevance of the question. I guess I could ask you:

Does Mulcair wanting moms out working rather than raising their kids at home, or Trudeau, wanting women to have free reign on killing their babies before they are born, align with your "family values?"

I mean, I guess it goes both ways, no?
