    You mean "podseal?
Apparently it does a great job sealing the pod but the pods just fall right off so...ya.
Not personal experience, just word on the street.

Don't need it just straight cut it.

If it's knitted together you'll have minimal shatter.

standing canola crop can surprisingly take a lot of wind. id say takes 60-70 kph wind storms better than swathed canola. more guys moving to straight cut here, works well, needs to be desiccated though. .

podseal doesn't work as already mentioned.

We had worst shatter when it got windy during long rainy spell for 3 days... the pods unzipped in the wetness. 15bu/ac on the ground.

The way the buyers are going dedicating will be a thing of the past. Not sure why farmers can't see this coming and still douse the crops 10 days before combining

I feel the same way Vvalk. I can see the temptation is there, but it is risky and soon we may be signing affidavits at the elevator saying we didn't desiccate.

Might get some more use outa the swathers . They have become completely retarded in price as well for just canola acres .
Some of these new swathers can cover Alota ac in a hurry , all GPS and auto steer - would not be the end of the world . I guess a guy would save $150,000 or more not needing a new fancy combine header then .

You guys do realize that in Europe... New Zealand... Asia... dessicant are used pretty much always as are growth regulators.

What's going to happen is we are going to get regulated to he'll and back.

Then again if you own a high clearance sprayer maybe having to go get a license is a good idea.

......learn to read and follow label directions and become familiar with proper crop staging application timing and a lot of future issues just may be mitigated.
