Now with imploding economies all over the world the currency wars are starting to heat up. Look out for other tactics like stiff tariffs on imports, or worse tight limits on MRL's. Next in the news rejected shiploads of Canadian wheat. If you pre harvest herb sell it quick the rules can change while its in the bin.

I've never done a preharvest on cereals. This may be the year that changes though.

The purpose is to have less tillers and even out the maturity and stand.

It seems in this area that the crop needs killing by something. Frost or steel or chemical. Only two of those tools are controllable. I hate swathing but at times a necessarry risk.

Manipulator and Ethrel really accelerate crops too... Our Pasteur was seeded a week after and is two weeks ahead of the rest in the area....

We're probably about 10 days from taking it off

Tweety. Ya I'm a real organic supporter. So your saying all the farmers out there are dedicating with gkysophate at exactly the recommended rate. No one is spraying with an extra 1/2-1L per acre.

Tweety. I can tell you this, the chemical companies are very concerned about the rate farmers desiccating with. If they are worried so should you. This tool is very much in jeopardy.

Tom sorry germ is only effected on pulse. Cereal no way never have had problems never will. Keep telling people billshit.
Now peas and lentils yes your right.
It's a great way for us eastern guys to even out a crop. We would have green spots till November otherwise.
Cleans up the land and is good.

V why would a farmer over spray with glyphos?
One liter or less in fall will kill all your problems. Since 1988 strait cutting and pitting on roundup pre harvest. It helps us eastern sasktel guys be like dry Alberta.
We seed 2.5 to 3 and still it would be green in November if we didn't spray.
