Oliver88, I'm not to sure she ever really intended to raise them, she was just offering a bias to massage markets. How would have the U.S. ever been able to export anything, their dollar would have surged even more and our's would have gone to $.55.

And lucky for us canadian farmers that 55 cent dollar would have been hidden in the basis to get less for our product than any other country in the world.

Meanwhile paying world price for fertilizer, fuel and chemical that is made in canada in our backyard. And paying freight and exchange on it to boot.

I know but I thought our public discussion here would wake a few lurkers up.

              Oh well.

ya, tru dat, people are still scratching their heads wondering why combines are so expensive ! Yet they're not willing to demand the currency advantage from the products they sell, in order to offset that exchange to buy the combines!

I think the combine thing is that everyone leases and they get sold on a per acre basis.
The lease will only cost you 5 dollars an acre and you get a new one in three years etc.

Most don't care that it's out of control.

And the fact they have only put new decals and side panels on for the increase.

The fact that a person can invest in the volitility of the market points to how far it's got out of control.

The purpose of the market is to determine value.

Why not just use red and black?

                        But I am a simple ****.

Its unfortunate Canada - mostly by media frenzy - is fixated on $90,000 paid back to taxpayers rather then real economic issues in this election.

The 90000 is just a symptom of a rotten carcass, which is the con party. They need to be turfed for the lying and corruption as well as mishandling the deficit and the enviroment.
