I told my Viterra rep to pretty much shove it this year. Yes they are closest but we can't take this and can't take that or the next... well... I guess your left with low input farmers hauling to ya.
ADM has no problem with it...
Viterra doesn't want canola desicated with HEAT either. Crush plants don't care and pay better.
Both Viterra and Richardson are covering their asses... and trying to make money. Don't worry if you treated your grain they'll buy it but at a discount.
Chlormequat chloride has been used worldwide for decades... it was added simply because it's new and "scary" in Western Canada.
Ethrel has been around for 20 years here and no one cares because bayer doesn't advertise it as much.
Also as a u of s researched told us, neither of the two can be detected in chemical analysis because they are plant synthesized components.
If an end user doesn't want glyphosate treated crop or x or y sprayed they can stipulate that in a contract. However we won't adapt farm management practices to what dumb dumber and stupidest (viterra richardson and pandh) would "like".
FYI... phone a US elevator and tell them your wheat was treated with chlormequat chloride. They'll tell you ok... bring it in.

When its your game you get to make the rules, change them to suit you, and as often as you want.
There has to be something to keep you on your toes and under their THUMB.

Yes, great attitude!! Stick it to em, I'm sure you "high input" farmers can hang on longer then the multinational grain corps... Spray em if you got em!

poorfarmer can't afford the inputs so he wants to make fun of the guys that can. I just don't get the logic.
Time to rent it to the bigger guy down the road I would say, and tell him every year you need more rent because the other big guys are paying more.

This is becoming a fukin circus. And not Ag Girl or bot or whatever or the preacher Tom - I will not "watch" my language on this one. People have been throwing out the odd curse word here and there - not a word from either of you ... That's ok I have strong shoulders - cry on mine.
Anyway - AGAIN - changing the rules half way though things - make calls to Ritz - I am going to - relentlessly this is complete b/s. I never sprayed any canola or flax with heat but that's not the point - this is b/s plain and simple this time of year - someone needs balls and quick - "they" are painting us into a corner and wrap speed..... *** that!!

So... what is labeled and what is not with fall desiccating with heat?????
This seems to be very fukin grey area kinda like clever.. ans is going to be very costly to some who were told the wrong info..

Look boys, there's always a new gig. Just when the peasants wise up or see through the smoke and mirrors something else is dreamt up. Now that we know there can't be any Unicorn shit in the grain or Fairy dust infection and alot of the other regular nuicances aren't an issue this year there has to be something.
SOOEY, SOOEY, SOOEY.....

Canola, flax, all cereals, beans, peas, lentils, sunflowers
Are all labeled for heat.
FYI
High input doesn't mean higher cost. Pushing more of a plan's energy into seed vs. Straw saves fuel time and puts nutrients where they make us money.
I'm not going against a multinational grain company. I just completely ignore them when it suites our farm.
Kinda like how they completely ignore farmers if they feel like it.
