As soon as the ndp were tossed, people moved back in droves. The whole attitude shifted. Sask Population GREW by more than 10%, where as it was formerly stagnant to declining.

The deficit, relative to Alberta is very much smaller proportionately. And oil is FAR less needed for Sask Coffers compared to Alberta.

We all hate deficits. But I believe it is a minor blip, like the federal one that is all but gone. You can't really plan for such a wicked fire season every year.

Unless young Trudeau gets power. Then we will have at least three 10B dollar ones, before the budget balances itself from the economy growing from the heart, as Canadians all live as one, and work together despite our differences... bla bla bla, fluffy donkey.

Maybe population grew due to open door immigration. Have you looked around lately?

Exactly take a look at Saskatoon or Regina. Don't have to get on a pLane to see the Middle East.

They ve had all that oil revenue and potash and can't manage a thing. The oil only card game does. It work long term. In 15 to 20 years it is estimated fossil fuels will be phased out. And so let's go head first into it. What a joke no vision whatsoever.

But hey let's build a stadium pretty soon no one can travel down the road to get to it.

Well, I have eleven family members who have moved back to Saskatchewan. They are white as snow. I know what you mean, the cities are more diverse.

I think the stadium is a colossal waste of funds. And my SP mla has heard about it more than once.

A prostitute could answer the thread question.

Don't give it away for free.

Wall does that with our resources for the sake of taxing a few more workers until the jobs dry up. Stupid dumb bum policy that fails every time it's enacted.

I have a question for people so sure that the NDP are the answer...

              Do you not understand business?
Seriously, how can you possibly think raising taxes is a way to attract business which in turn creates jobs??
I never have been able to understand that way of thinking.

I think Saskatchewan will once again be the only province in Canada with a balanced budget.

The finance minister said 2% spending reduction is required for a forecasted $49 barrel of oil.

Jake...people will go to where the action is...and should expect to pay for that action. Are you going to open your business in Bumshut Sask, where it may be cheap as hell to rent a building? Likely, you will go where it costs a lot more, but your return is greater...why shouldn't it cost to be in a society where you can do well?
The corporate tit is just as bad as the union tit....when they don't make as much, they whine like hell. Post WW2, corp taxes were high, but things went along quite well, they invested in their company and people...instead of buying up every Tom, Dyck and Harry.
Unfortunately, money now rules...too hell with integrity....I'll take integrity and leave some dollars float by for the next guy.

Might be mistaken but I am not sure how the saskatchewan government budgets on 49 dollar a barrel oil when a good majority oil in saskatchewan is heavy oil that is discounted.

Interesting how they can budget using a works price.

If I did my budget using port price of wheat and showed it to my banker - they would shut me down before I left the office.

Wall in saskatchewan is still living off the vision of premiers before him. He is like a kid that inherited the farm. Majority of those guys around here ****ed it up. Wall is on his way to do that he just doesn't know it yet.
