My daughter who is also attending U.M. had a female room mate also attending U.M. from Iran. Her father is a doctor and mother a teacher in Iran, she is the only child. Met her on several occasions, spoke prefect English, polite, intelligent and very friendly, wonderful young person..

Wants to start her future here in Winnipeg, upon her completion of her Masters. She has so much to offer to society!!!

I read your response to my post, and I'm just wondering what it has to do with what I was asking Parsley. Are you Parsley's official spokesperson? Could you PLEASE explain yourself so I can understand how the two relate to each other. Blowing soil and refugees or that I should be living in back in the Soviet Union. I'm asking nicely explain yourself, I want to know!!!

I think if you read your past posts and your present posts you should be able to figure it out. And no i'm not parsely's spokesperson. parsely is obviously very capable of speaking for herself.

Thank you stonepicker for being the man that you are and acknowledging that I am able to speak for myself, because by doing so, you unknowingly protect womens' rights to speak for themselves.

And in this day and age, creeping Sharia continues to drag women back into the days of backwardism, and obedience and sunservience. Watch it happening every day as the swords slice and the heads roll and the stones fly throughout the Middle East. And women become silent.

In this day and age, where Canadian women are honour-killed, yes in Canada, for wearing what they want to wear, well, ... even a hint of patriarchal smell from the Forages of the yet Free World are about as welcome as a turd in a creamy morning latte.

In my post, I made no political reference of any kind, but of coarse your so paranoid about anyone who has spoken against Harper YOU turned it from a humanitarian CRISIS to a Canadian political ISSUE.

Stonepicker since you brought it up about the Soviet Union, my grandfather immigrated for the Ukraine who was under Stalin's Soviet rule. It was in the 1920's it was the same time as the Ukraine famine brought about by Stalin, who later caused the Holodomor.

Stonepicker, so I guess all your Ukrainian neighbors didn't deserve to be let into Canada during that crisis either????? I guess you have the ability to judge who comes to Canada and who doesn't!!!!

How many documented cases of women being killed in Canada because of sharia law? If I ask the same thing about aboriginal women, what would the answer be? Are you in favour of a full investigation of the latter issue?

The interview with the aunt and the father of the mother/children that were drowned trying to flea Syria. They didn't blame Canada. They about their decisions and regrets. Just humans like everyone on Agriville.

                Parsley

I asked you a simple question. Read it again. I pasted it below, so reread it. You didn't answer it at all, but decided to try to be funny. I DO NOT in any way approve of how women are treated in the Middle East, and should never be treated as second class citizens anywhere in the world. We are on the same page on that issue, but I asked you where do you start to help these women and children from Syria???

"Now that you brought it up several times, about these second class women, whom many have young children. They shouldn't be given chance to enter counties as refugees?

You want them to change, I'm asking you, where do you think it can start?"

Well if you want to get into geneology, both sets of my grandparents emigrated from the soviet union and when they came to canada they accepted canadian laws and rules. They didn't try to change the laws to suit themselves. There is a difference between an immigrant who accepts our laws and customs and one who shows no respect for our laws and customs. And charlie P, how many honor killings do there need to be in this country before it
                    's relevant to you?

How many aboriginal women have to die before it is relevant to you? People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Actually don't have an answer to this question. Would agree that a whole change immigration policy is not the answer. I do feel for the families that are being asked to endure the level of pain regardless of religion.

Perhaps a bit of my feeling to different parts of the world and seeing museums/other historical stuff. Vietnam war. Dirty war in Argentina. Shining star in Peru. Memorial to Ukrainians that were killed by Stalin. Memorial to the famine in Ireland. Killing fields in Cambodia. Memorials in Germany, Poland and Washington to Jews that were exterminated in the second world war. Palestinians. As guys like to highlight, a human life really has no value except if it is our own.

Perhaps our biggest fear is another human being who has nothing to a lose. They should be our biggest fear.

Miss Universe from Canada is aboriginal and spoke out against the government saying they are being treated like terrorists.Every society has evolved in human rights issues and separating them from religion. But still a ways to go even in North America as seen in the states with the judge not granting marriage licence to same sex couples because of her beliefs..Even on here many think their religion should be made law by politicians.Thank goodness the evolving continues and each generation is getting more and more understanding to minorities of all kinds.

You forgot Israel. As for Parsley she answered nothing.

Why I'm I shrill for stating that humanitarian help for refugee women and children should given???

Blackpowder what does that make you???

I didnt specify who was shrill.
Neither did I differentiate between humanitarian aid and filling our cities.
Thank you for clarification. I suggest your correct on both. We should ensure humanitarian aid and protection is available. Provided by nations most able to afford it first. This should not of course, require filling our cities.
