#1 - WWIII is coming. Going to be fought in Germany (again) and it's going to be against Muslim hoards, trying to overthrow the rest of Europe.

#2 - Foragefarmer. Have your daughter get into a deep conversation about Israel and Jews with her Iranian friend. I promise it shall enlighten you. If there is a true Jekyll and Hyde moment, that will be it. They are relatively nice people, until you mention Jews - then you'll see what they are really like, and what they really think.

Your fears may be human... and considered rational by some... but are NOT what built the best nation on Earth; Canada.

We CAN be loving and caring people.

We choose to look for the best... and discourage the rest.

Canadians of Courage take the high road... trust in a better future... and build a better nation.

Discrimination and closed minds... are what drive present day Russia, Syria, ISIS, N Korea, Iran, and many Midwestern Arab nations.

I hope we will count our blessings and share our freedom with those who are beaten up and pushed aside.

Religious doctrine is what drives ISIS. Fanatical religious adherents who are taught to hate Jews. Taught! Preached at to view women as unequals. Taught it's okay to joint kill. Taught it's okay to marry a child at 8. Taught that jihad is a religious duty.

So you see, Tom, when these things are applied to you, your country, you have to look it in the eye.

These men look like ISIS fighters, don't they.

I agree with you, 15444. War is inevitable. We are dealing with religious maniacs. Pars

                Parsley,

ISIS IS at WAR... in Syria Iraq.

Refugees are fleeing the war... the vast majority want to live in peace... which is why they left the war zones.

To blanket all Refugees with ISIS extreme views is unfair. The vast majority could be productive citizens of our developed western countries... they know how to work and don't mind getting their hands dirty and sweat on their brow does not offend them!

                Parsley...Be nice!

                  Something seems odd here.

Young men leaving their country instead of fighting for it. So Canadians go in to fight for them.

                  Strange very strange.

Give them young men a gun to defeat isis. If they won't why should we?

                    Parsley

I certainly wouldn't have wanted you in charge of letting the wave of immigrants into Western Canada in 1800 and 1900. I very much doubt any of my ancestors would have gotten in, as I'm sure you would have found something out about them, that wouldn't have made them, in your opinion, worthy to enter into Canada.

Isn't that the truth, Bucket! There really is something wrong with that picture.

There is a difference between then and now.

                        And it's quite obvious.

                        Parsley makes done valid points.

Culture and religion are the two that make the most difference then and now. They wouldn't have been let in back then either.

                          Bucket

I was in Austria this summer to visit my grandfathers family. While there, I found out he was one of the 60000 immigrants from that region that left in the 1920s to come to Canada and US. That region of Austria only had a population of 2500000 people.

Now can any one tell me on here that they all were saints and some didn't have hate towards other races and religions? Let's be honest, many Europeans didn't exactly love everybody. I don't think I need to spell it out.

I get what you are saying. But I still believe there are big differences between then and now.

But to be fair I think the fact our forces are over there isn't helping them or us.

I think there is a better solution. But I don't get paid to think for that. And my free advice isn't acted on.

Forage, who is more likely to do a terrorist act after migrating; an Austrian or an Islamic Syrian?
                                Which migrant supports Sharia Law?

                                Big difference.
