I saw a couple of DVD's on the weekend that would appeal to the Freedom Fighters on this forum. Seeing them definitely raised my mood after the court victory of Friends of Slavery.
One is "300", the story of how an elite group of 300 Spartan soldiers held off the entire Persian army until the Greek army could be mobilized to stop a Persian invasion. The main theme of the movie is the triumph of reason and logic over mysticism and mindless force.
The other is "The Tunnel" which is a subtitled German film based on a true story of a group of ex-East Germans who dig a tunnel by hand under the Berlin Wall in order to rescue their family members. The film's portrayal of life in paranoid, Stalinesque East Germany is especially riveting. Having seen this film, I have to wonder why on earth so many people in the post-war West sought to defend these cretins in their quest to build a socialist society. Parallels to our struggle against a compulsory CWB abound in the film.
