Winter wheat price to bring you down

Best cash price I could find in southern Manitoba today for winter wheat was $4.20. Today's board prices aren't up yet but yesterdays fixed price contract would have got me $4.45.

Bottineau Farmers Elevator in North Dakota is offering $5.66 Canadian.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love the wheat board?

    Oh well could be worse.

At least I didn't grow any durum. The same place is offering $7.31 Canadian.

Tower can you give us that sermon again about how "Sometimes it's necessary for a society to take a broader and more long term view than an individual is likely to have."

I'd really like to know how I'm helping my neighbors and 'society' by not taking the extra buck a bushel.

        Thank you for your sacrifice.

Now kindly deliver your wheat to the board and they definitely will get us all that premium price - eventually - right?

They will just take a little off for administrative charges.

you are so closed minded franny.

If you would have read the study by schmuck, doofus, and goof you would understand that the prices you see are not really there.

Well it's like this, the reason farmers are better off with $1 - $1.5 per bushel LESS for their grain is because, MONEY is at the root of all evil, and the more money you have the more evil you are.

You see an individual with money. Like real money. I'm not not talking about just a bit of change in his pocket, I'm talking real money, F-you money, if you will, the kind of money that let's an individual say to those who may try to screw you over, F-you, I don't need you and I want nothing to do with you, that person is dangerous.

He's dangerous because he can't be controlled, he may just go out and do whatever he pleases, and that would make others jealous, and envious, because they would think "It's not fair, I don't have that, why should this other person be allowed?".

This type of sentiment would cause disharmoney within the community and make society in general an poored place to live.

SO, you keep them poor but equal and they become quiet as church mice, and society in general is peaceful and tranquil.

That is Loony Left Dogma in a nutshell.

So quit bitching, you ungrateful ingrates, and just be happy your allowed to have what little you've been allowed to have.

                    It's what's best.

The winter wheat price is bad?

                        Keep your arguements focused.

                          CP,

I agree with Fran, he would have lost much more $ if he had grown Durum!

A buck is not near as bad as 3!

Just try to sell durum to the feed market!

Takes one to know one Cotton.

All time record highs? Yes. But not to Canadian producers. The yanks are beating us by a mile in this race. But go ahead, keep your CWB blinders on and keep telling yourself you're the one whose getting the best price.

It's not like we're competing with every other farmer in the world from one of the most heavily taxed and regulated jurisdictions on the planet now are we?

By the way I prefer 'arguments'. What are 'arguements'?

And they are focused. On the PRICE DIFFERENCE, on how much IS BEING LEFT ON THE TABLE.

I didn't say anything about whether or not they are lousy. Try reading the sentences instead of between the lines.
