    Aussie Canola Crop Report

Most recent Aussie canola crop report out today. It's posted on the Australian Oilseeds Federation web site at:
    http://www.australianoilseeds.com/australian_oilseeds_industry/crop_report

Remember this is based on conditions as of early August 07. According to the AOF, the most yield-crutial time for Aussy canola is Sep-Oct which needs to be mild and moist. Typically harvest will be 50% completed by the end of Nov.

There are supposed to be crop progress pictures on this web site but nobody is keeping that up to day.

Forgot - the monthly crop report includes seeded acres and production estimates.

Only pictures under the Horsham crop so far.

Noticed all the fields are described as paddocks. Thought paddocks were small areas to hold livestock! Didn't realize Aussie canola had to be fenced in, too. Grin.

The farm I worked on there had 500 acre paddocks.
