WinWIn,
I see today Oct 07 Winter wheat is $7.39/bu $6.88/bu for Hard Red Spring through the Ontario Board.
Mustardman,
An adjustment factor of -7.50/t on CPS, when it is already over 50 cents/bu higher than HRS in Ontario, and it is an additional $21/t lower than HRS at the CWB (CWRS = $256.59, CPS $235.83/t) Ordinary Winter wheat is almost the same price as CPS... and the CWB sells them both normally into the same market... (Western Wheat class)
CWRW Select has a high px... which is not part of the Ontario pricing in any event! Further Eastern CGC grades are much less stringent adding even more to this discrepancy.
We have a serious problem with the CWB pooling systems, FPC, DPC, the whole works is not even close to market value with cross subsidisation of classes at a rampant level.
If the CWB is actually selling the CWRW and CPS at these prices they offer "designated area" growers... they are undercutting the wheat market by $40-50/t
